Surah Al-Fatihah is the medicine for all diseases

Surah Fatiha is the first Surah of the Holy Quran. The essence of the Qur'an. The remaining 113 suras of the Qur'an are, in fact, elaborate interpretations of Surah Fatiha.

There are basically three topics discussed throughout the Qur'an. One is the identity of Allah Ta'ala, two is the relationship of man with Allah and three) is what man should and should not do in order to gain the satisfaction of Allah Almighty. These three matters are briefly mentioned in Surah Fatiha.

Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) asked Ubayy ibn Kab (may Allah be pleased with him) one day, "How do you recite the Qur'an in prayer?" He recited Surah Fatiha.

Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, 'By Allaah, in whose hand my life has been revealed in a Torah, a Surah, a Gospel, a Psalm, or a Qur'aan like Surah al-Fatihah.' Mishkat, Hadith 2142.

Narrated from Hazrat Abdul Malik Ibn Umayr (RA), the Prophet (SAW) said, Surah Fatiha is the great medicine for all diseases. 'Sunan Daremi, Hadith 3413; Mishkat, Hadith 2160.

The commentator of Mishkat Sharif, the learned scholar of Hanafi Madhhab, Mollah Ali Qari (Rah.) Mirqatul Mafatih said, ‘The letters of Surah Fatiha have such benefits as reciting words. There are also benefits to writing. Whatever kind of disease we want, be it religious or worldly, perceptible or not, everything will be cured by the will of Allah with the blessings of this Surah. '

Narrated Abu Saeed Ibn Mu'alla: Some of the Companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) came from a tribe in Arabia. The people of the tribe did not show them any hospitality. Suddenly the leader of that tribe was bitten by a snake.

Then they came and said, do you have any medicine? They answered, Yes. But we have to be hospitable. We are very hungry.

They agreed to be hospitable. We also asked them for a flock of goats. Then one of the Companions started reciting Umm Al-Quran i.e. Surah Fatiha and spat in his mouth and sprinkled it on his wound. As a result twenty went down and he recovered.

The Companions returned to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) with a goat after eating and asked the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) whether such a thing was right for them. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) laughed and said, 'How do you know that Surah al-Faatihah is a cure for diseases?' All right, take the goats and leave a portion for me. Bukhari, Hadith 5008.
