Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf on Friday, his (faith's) light will continue to shine from this Friday to the next Friday. (Mishkat 2175).
Whoever memorizes the first ten verses of Surah Al-Kahf will be protected from the evils of the Dajjal. (Muslim) (Mishkat).
‘Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf will have a light on the Day of Resurrection which will illuminate him from his place to Makkah. And whoever recites its last ten verses, even if the Dajjal comes out during his lifetime, he will not be able to do him any harm. ’(Silsilaye Sahiha-2651).
Whoever recites Surah Al-Kahf on Friday night will have a light from his place of residence to the Holy Mecca. (Sahih Targhib wat Tarhib - 638).
If he recites Surah Al-Kahf on Friday, the light will shine from under his feet to the clouds of the sky on the Day of Resurrection and the sins between the two Fridays will be forgiven. (At Targib Wal Tarhib - 1/296)
Someone was reciting Surah Al-Kahf. Then the man looked up and saw that a cloud had surrounded him. Bara ibn Azib narrated that the man told the matter to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). He addressed him and said, O such and such you keep reciting the Surah. Because it was the mercy or peace of Allah that was revealed because of the recitation of the Qur'an or for the recitation of the Qur'an. (Muslim - 1842).
That is, it is the ‘sakina’ or peace that is revealed by Allah Ta'ala while reciting the Qur'an.
The Holy Book Al-Quran or any of its Surahs can be practiced at any time. However, Allaah has given certain times that if certain deeds are done at certain times, the reward is greater.
In the same way, reciting Surah Al-Kahf at any time from sunset on Thursday to sunset on Friday will be done according to the hadith, InshaAllah.
Note that it is not necessary to recite the entire Surah in one sitting. Rather, the same thawab will be obtained even after reciting the said surah in multiple meetings from Thursday evening to sunset on Friday, InshaAllah.
